For those of you who don’t know, TED talks are inspiring.
The TED website describes itself as “TED is a nonpartisan nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks.”
Their tagline is “Ideas Worth Spreading”. So, here I am, spreading their ideas. Thanks TED !
TED talks cover all kinds of themes and topics – however, I am interested in the side hustle and entrepreneurial journey type talks….and if you are reading this then you probably are too.
(I am also interested in the music talks – here is a great one about how to make a Carrot Clarinet !)
I have found the following inspiring TED talks and wanted to share them for your viewing, listening and thinking pleasure. These all outline the benefits and reasons for starting an online business, or side hustle away from your regular “day job”.
The Entrepreneurial Generation | Nick Loper |
I’ve previously mentioned Nicks podacast and Side Hustle Nation website in another post.
Gary Vaynerchuk 1.
Building Personal Brand Within the Social Media Landscape | Gary Vaynerchuk |
Gary Vaynerchuk 2.
6 MINS FOR THE NEXT 60 YEARS OF YOUR LIFE – A RANT | Gary Vaynerchuk |
The benefits and arguments for creating your own side hustle. It’s never too late to start, as these few speakers make very clear.
Rise and grind: starting a side-hustle | Josh Sahib |
Basically, these and many other TED talks produce “aha moments”.
If you are struggling with something – be that business, personal well-being, life direction, parenting, health, music, sport, science – or are merely curious to learn, there is sure to be several motivating and inspiring TED talks about it.
TED talks are given by experts and leaders in their fields. Most of these people have years of experience and are great teachers.
I subscribe to the school of thought that you can do or achieve anything you want, if your “why” is strong enough.
Seeking inspiration to do something different than what your current existance entails provides the motivation and the forward motion towards your goals.
Inspiration is good, but inspiration combined with action is even better.
